Maharaj Market

Maharaj is Krabi Town's main fresh market — a working wet market where the town does its actual shopping. Mornings are best: mounds of tropical fruit, fresh fish on ice, curry pastes, dried goods and cooked-food stalls doing breakfast for the traders. It's not a tourist attraction dressed up, it's the real thing, which is exactly why it's worth an hour. Come hungry, try the fruit you can't name, and watch the town run. Free, busiest early.
