Aonang Al-Munuawarah Mosque

The main mosque in Ao Nang, its white domes and minaret a landmark on the road behind the beach. Southern Thailand has a large Muslim community and Krabi is no exception — the mosque is a working place of worship, not a tourist site, but it's a quiet, handsome building and a reminder that the region's culture runs deeper than the beach bars. Respect prayer times, dress modestly, and ask before entering. Free. Best appreciated from outside unless you're there to worship.
