Tiger Cave Temple is two things: a working forest monastery at the base, and a punishing 1,237-step climb to a golden Buddha on the summit. The stairs are steep and there's no shade, so start before 8am or after 4pm. What you get at the top is a 360-degree view over Krabi's karst country that photos undersell. Down below, the cave shrines and the resident monkeys are free to wander around. Entry is free — it's a temple, so cover your shoulders and knees.
