A giant black crab rising out of the water on the Krabi Town riverfront — the unofficial mascot of the town and its most-photographed landmark. The mudcrab was chosen because Krabi's mangroves are full of them and the local economy leaned on the catch. It sits on the Chao Fah riverside promenade, best at dusk when the light softens and the night stalls fire up nearby. Two minutes to see, but it anchors a pleasant riverside walk. Free, always open.
