A section of Nopparat Thara Beach just west of Ao Nang town, a national-park beach with a wide flat shoreline and quieter atmosphere than the main strip. It's shallow and broad at low tide — better for a walk and watching the longtails leave for the islands than for serious swimming. Food and drink stalls sit at the waterfront, and some island-tour boats depart from the adjacent pier. Free to enter.
