Noppharat Thara Beach

Nopparat Thara is the long, calm beach just west of Ao Nang — a shaded two-kilometre run of sand backed by casuarina trees, split by a tidal river mouth. It's quieter and more local than Ao Nang, with cheap food stalls, walkable sand flats at low tide, and the marine-park pier at the far end where the island boats leave. Free, easy and family-friendly, with some of the best sunsets on the coast. Bring a mat and stay for the light.
