Thara Park

A green riverside park on the Krabi Town waterfront, shaded by big trees and looking across the river to the Khao Khanab Nam mountains. Locals come to exercise, picnic and watch the longtails go by. It joins up with the Chao Fah promenade and the crab sculpture, so it's an easy stitch-together evening: a walk by the water, the night market, a boat to the caves. Nothing to pay, nothing to book — just a pleasant slice of the town's daily life by the river.
